Wyre Bowling Development Group

Wyre Bowling Development Group (WBDG) has been in existence since 2007 and includes representatives from local clubs, the sports governing body and Wyre Borough Council sports development team. The main objective of the WBDG is to introduce young people into the sport of crown green bowling.

The group provides an annual schools instruction programme, which is delivered by the group members.  The instruction programme includes a series of bowling sessions for school children in years five and six in local primary schools. In 2009 five different primary schools will be participating in the schools instruction programme. These sessions will be taking place at Ashdell Bowling Club, Jubilee Gardens Bowling Club, Stalmine Bowling Club and Garstang Subscription Bowling Club.
