September 03, 2020SEASON 2021 - Participating Clubs.
Approval to recommence League games was given in August subject to all clubs and participants strictly adher to the full Covid 19 guidance and rules. Unfortunately this was too late to organise any meaningful competition. It is intended to restart in 2021 when Clubs who wish to participate will be asked to confirm that they have all necessary precautions are in place. Catforth BC have withdrawn and closed down from 1st Sepember 2020
May 11, 2020**2020 LEAGUE ACTIVITIES CANCELLED**.
Following the extension of the lockdown placed on our activities it looks increasingly likely that it would not be possible to safely and responsibly organise any kind of a meaningful League competition this year. To that end the decision has sadly been taken to suspend all Woodplumpton Veterans League activities until 2021. Club representatives will be contacted in the near future offering options in respect of fees already paid/ carry over arrangements to next year. MC
September 12, 2019LAWS OF THE GAME.
Team captains are reminded of the need where possible to adhere to the Laws of the Game issued by BCGBA. Attention is drawn to Law 10 the use of mobile telephones and Law 11 Smoking while participating in a game. In each case the offending player loses the game, receives no further score and their opponent receives the maximum score. Players offended against should claim the game at the time the offences occur. The League will fully support such action.
